Architecture and Construction
Construction industry, among other activities, meets the basic need of housing for man. Being a labour intensive industry it is one of the biggest employers in India. It employs variety of people starting from an unskilled labour to a qualified architect. The construction industry in India is largely unorganised and spread over both public and private sector.

The area of work in the industry can be broadly divided into two. First is the technical aspect, which involves conceptualising a project designing various units of construction etc, and the second is the actual construction. While planners and architects are more involved with the first aspect, civil engineers and contractors deal with the actual execution of the project. Roles of these professionals are however not water tight and they work as a team in completion of any project.

The construction industry is an important indicator of economic buoyancy in any country. A boom in construction industry would not only mean many more jobs but growth in other important sectors of economy, like steel and cement as well. India being a growing economy there are enormous opportunities in this field and demand for trained professionals in the fields of architecture, building engineering, urban planning and construction management is immense.

Educational Qualification:
