Their job encompasses the management of the process by which the physical output of a business organization is planned. The production department directs, coordinates and controls operations. Production Management involves product research and, development, procurement of materials and supplies, standardization, testing and quality control, and cost analysis.
Production Managers in the manufacturing industries have to divide their time between the shop floor and their office. They sometimes have to work overtime to meet deadlines or may even be called outside duty hours to resolve problems arising out of an emergency situation.
Educational Qualification:
Engineering Graduates with P.G. Diploma in Production Management
